Presumption of authenticity for prosecution tendered documents: presumed genuine unless disproved and admissible in evidence.

When a document produced, seized, or received from outside India is tendered by the prosecution against the producer or a jointly tried person, the court shall, unless contrary proof is given, presume the truth of its contents, the authenticity of signatures and handwriting (including execution or attestation), and admit the document in evidence despite lack of proper stamping if it is otherwise admissible.
