These Rules create a procedure for recovery of customs duty where goods imported duty-free under the specified Government notification are later sold or disposed of in India by listed foreign privileged persons, enacted under clause (c) of section 9 of the Sea Customs Act and defining title, commencement and the notification-based scope of application.
