Summons and production powers: Adjudicating Authority may compel attendance, testimony and document production under civil court powers.

The Adjudicating Authority is empowered with civil court powers under the Code of Civil Procedure to order discovery and inspection, enforce attendance and oath bound examination of persons including banking or financial officers, compel production of records, receive affidavit evidence, issue commissions for examination, and direct attendance through authorised agents; all such proceedings are deemed a judicial proceeding under the Indian Penal Code.
