Good faith protection shields government officers and adjudicatory authorities from proceedings for acts done under benami law.

Protection is provided for actions taken in good faith under the Prohibition of Benami Property Transactions Act. No prosecution, suit or other proceeding lies against the Government, any Government officer, the Appellate Tribunal, or the Adjudicating Authority for anything done or intended to be done in good faith under the Act.
