Exclusion of time for applications under section 270AA: period from application to service of rejection is excluded.

Amendment to section 249 substitutes wording in the existing proviso and inserts a further proviso providing that the period from the date an application under section 270AA(1) is made until the date the order rejecting that application is served on the assessee shall be excluded for purposes of the relevant time computation.
