Appellate Tribunal stay extension allowed where delay is not attributable to the party, subject to an overall temporal ceiling.

Amendment to section 129B(2A) authorises the Appellate Tribunal, on a party's application and if delay in disposing the appeal is not attributable to that party, to extend an existing stay for a further period subject to an overall maximum aggregate duration measured from the initial order; if the appeal remains undecided beyond that aggregate duration the stay stands vacated.
