Confidential information protection: information may be withheld unless authorised; officer can require a public summary or disregard unwarranted confidentiality.

Confidential information supplied on a confidential basis shall be treated as confidential and not disclosed without specific authorisation. The Authorised Officer may require a non-confidential summary or, if summarisation is said to be impossible, a statement of reasons. If the Authorised Officer considers the confidentiality claim unwarranted or the supplier refuses public or summary disclosure, the Authorised Officer may disregard the information unless independent sources demonstrate its correctness.
