Treaty termination: either party may terminate after the initial term by diplomatic notice, with a subsequent effective notice period.

Article 13 provides that the Agreement remains in force until terminated by either Contracting Party; termination requires written notice transmitted through diplomatic channels after an initial term, and becomes effective on the first day of the month following the expiration of a prescribed notice period from receipt. All requests received up to the effective date remain governed by the Agreement.
