SEBI may declare an informant eligible for a reward equal to ten percent of monetary sanctions subject to a maximum cap, with Board discretion over eligibility; interim payment rules permit a capped interim disbursement on issuance of the final order and condition payment of the balance on SEBI's collection or recovery of monetary sanctions amounting to at least twice the unpaid balance, with equal division of reward among joint informants and payment from the Investor Protection and Education Fund.
