Anti-dumping circumvention authority: government may extend duties when description, composition or origin of imports is altered.

The amendment authorises the Central Government, following any inquiry it considers necessary, to extend anti-dumping duty to an article or to articles originating in or exported from a country where circumvention has occurred by altering description, name or composition, by importing in unassembled or disassembled form, by changing country of origin or export, or by any other manner that renders the anti-dumping duty ineffective.
