Assessed bill of entry must be printed, signed with designation and presented with payment challans for goods clearance.

Regulation 8 requires the authorised person, after assessment, to obtain three signed print-outs of the assessed bill of entry (from the service centre or his premises), indicate name and designation affirming the contents, and present those print-outs with payment challans and original supporting import documents for examination and for the issue of an order permitting clearance of the goods for home consumption or warehousing.
